For the past five years, Carlton Football Club and Hyundai Motor Company have nominated Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation as their charity of choice for a match-day fundraiser each year.

This year, Hyundai Help for Kids pledged to give $1,000 per goal scored by Carlton at the game against Port Adelaide at the MCG on Saturday 20 June.
After visiting some of the sick kids at Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne ahead of the game for some inspiration, the Blues did everyone proud and kicked a massive 17 goals to not only win the game, but help secure $17,000 from HH4K’s goal kicking pledge.

Then, thanks to the generosity of donors at the game who handed over spare coins to the volunteers collecting donations before the game as well as guests at the President’s Function, and a fantastic $5,000 donation from the Hyundai Southern Region Dealers, at last count more than $30,000 was raised at the game. A couple of once in a lifetime experiences with Carlton FC players as well as the match-day ball were also auctioned off by Carlton with profits going to SWCCF.
We thank everyone who helped make it a fantastic fundraising weekend, from the volunteers who rattled buckets, to Carlton Football Club, Hyundai Motor Company, and our valued sponsor Hyundai Help for Kids.
