Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation (SWCCF) is deeply honoured to have Professor Glenn Marshall’s laboratory at Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI) named after Steven Walter, in recognition of our past support and continuing commitment, and acknowledgement of Glenn Marshall Research Scholarship, an annual award identifying and retaining top scientific talent to work in the Steven Walter Laboratory under the guidance of Professor Glenn Marshall, established by SWCCF.
Our challenge is about raising more to do more: attract the best researchers, keep the best researchers, enhance the laboratory at CCI, fund targeted research…………….and ensure the legacy that’s been built goes on for many years to come.
The ULTIMATE CHALLENGE is about increasing our investment into childhood cancer – where we are so close to changing lives forever – but we still need your help. We want you, your family, relatives, friends, employers, work colleagues (and anyone else you may know) to support our ultimate challenge to raise money to help cure childhood cancer.
The ULTIMATE CHALLENGE aims to raise $1 million over the next 3 years to further our investment. Money that will not only continue the wonderful work we’re supporting, it will advance it like never before. The investment will support the Personalised Cancer Treatment Initiative and be concentrated in two key ways:
1) The Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia Relapse Project
and
2) Avatar Mouse Model led by Professor Richard Locke at CCI
