The Warehouse OPENS

Our wonderful supporters, Helen & John Robertson, who have operated the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation Boutique Op Shop – Katoombafor the past 6 years, opened “The Warehouse” in Megalong Street, Katoomba on Thursday 28 February 2019.

“The Warehouse” is home to all things eclectic, rustic and Retro-Vintage. The front yard is always stocked with beautiful outdoor garden settings, furniture and pots.

With the opening of “The Warehouse”, Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation, and the world-leading cancer researchers it supports, are now the beneficiary of twice the amount of generosity from Blue Mountains locals and visitors.

The Boutique Op Shop has raised an amazing $228,000 that has gone directly to support research into a cure for childhood cancer and we are excited about the future with both the Boutique Op Shop and The Warehouse to continue to do more to help save the lives of children with cancer.

Corbo’s mates honour his memory with donation

The annual Corbo’s Memorial Ride was held recently and the fantastic crew of riders who took part once again made a donation to Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation of $900. This group donates what they raise each year in memory of their friend Tony Corbett. Tony (Corbo) used to ride at Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club and through it came to know Steven Walter. SWCCF was a charity close to his heart and his friends now honour his memory by continuing to make a donation.

This year on Corbo’s Ride, after travelling to the Captain’s Flat Hotel in Berry, they raffled a Harley belt buckle and held the annual auction for custody of the Corbo Memorial Keyring which was won by Bullet (Steve) with a bid of $655. We thank the great bunch who took part in Corbo’s Ride.
