SWCCF Boutique Op Shop

The Steven Walter Boutique Op Shop opened in Katoomba in 2012, and is named after Steven Walter, a young man who battled cancer for eight years, before passing away aged just 19 in 2000.

The Op Shop is operated by Helen and John Robertson, with the assistance of a lovely, friendly, helpful team, as well as a host of volunteers. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the remarkable staff and volunteers at the Steven Walter Boutique Op Shop who have achieved amazing results.

“There is an absolute treasure trove of items for sale, and thanks to the generosity of the many volunteers, all funds raised by the shop are donated to childhood cancer research, which to date is more than $353,500” said Susan Walter, CEO of Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation.

“We are absolutely honoured that Helen and John chose to name the Op Shop after Steven. He would be amazed at what has been achieved in his honour and thrilled that such a positive difference is being made,” said Susan.

The Steven Walter Boutique Op Shop provides a warm, inviting place for locals and visitors to Katoomba to find low cost everyday items of clothing, homewares, books and music, as well as a unique collection of pre-loved and antique items.

The Steven Walter Boutique Op Shop is open Monday-Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm, and from 10am to 2pm on weekends. You will find the shop at 150 Bathurst Road, Katoomba or give the friendly staff a call on (02) 4782 7591.

Inside is an eclectic collection of furniture, soft furnishings, artworks, bric-a-brac, tools, books, records and CD’s/DVD’s … while outside is dotted with garden furniture, garden art, bird baths, statues, pots, plants and more.
