We’re thrilled to announce that Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation has been selected by Sutherland Shire Council as the official Australia Day charity partner for the Cronulla Australia Day celebrations on Tuesday 26 January, 2016.
That means that the thousands of people enjoying the fantastic Australia Day event in Cronulla Park will be supporting SWCCF by purchasing Australia Day merchandise and making donations.
We will have a stall in the park with volunteers selling merchandise, so if you’re planning to be in the Shire on Australia Day, make sure you pop down and say hi. Better yet, make sure you make a donation to one of our volunteers who will be wearing the bright orange shirts or kit yourself out in Aussie themed gear and really get into the spirit of the day!
Thanks to one of our volunteers, Kerstyn, who came along for a photo with Sutherland Shire Mayor, Carmelo Pesce and the lovely ladies from Cronulla Rotary, who will also be donating 50% of their proceeds from selling sausage sandwiches to SWCCF.
There is a brilliant program set for Cronulla from 1pm through until fireworks at 9pm. Get all the details at www.sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au
Happy Australia Day everyone!
