The Steven Walter Laboratory was officially unveiled on 15 August 2012 by Prof Glenn Marshall at the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA), at the Lowy Cancer Research Centre in Sydney. This follows 12 years of working with CCIA and Sydney Children’s Hospital.

Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation was delighted to present a $100,000 cheque to the Sydney Children’s Hospital as their contributions to the Gold Week Telethon.
The Gold Week Telethon is the major annual fundraising campaign for Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, and is broadcast on Channel Nine.

It was announced from Government House today that Susan Walter, mother of the late Steven Walter, has been named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. Sue has been accepted as a member of the Order of Australia having be awarded an AM (Member of the Order of Australia).
“For service to the community through fundraising programs for childhood cancer research, particularly as Founder of the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation”
Everyone associated with the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation is extremely proud of Sue’s achievements and for the recognition she has now received for over 20 years of dedication to “try to make a difference”.
