Not much can beat a packed MCG on game day. If that sounds like your idea of a great way to spend an afternoon, we’re offering you the chance to enjoy the AFL for free and help out children diagnosed with cancer at the same time.
Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation is looking for volunteers to collect donations from footy fans as they arrive at the Carlton vs Essendon game on Saturday 30 August.
We’re asking you to spend two hours collecting donations and in return we will give you a free ticket to the game at 1:45pm. Volunteers will need to arrive at the MCG at 11:45am to be inducted. We’ll give you an SWCCF volunteer t-shirt and your collection bucket and then all you have to do is help part footy fans with their gold coins!
All funds raised at the game and the Hyundai & Carlton Fundraising Breakfast on 29 August will go to the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
To find out more, or to volunteer to collect donations at the game email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 02 9542 5885.
